The Challenge

For Erevena, candidate report writing was one of the most time-consuming parts of the job — and one of the least valuable. A researcher working across eight or nine projects at once could spend the better part of a day writing and rewriting reports, only for those drafts to go through another round of review and editing with a senior partner.

The burden didn't disappear if researchers didn't write the reports — it just moved up the chain. And note-taking was equally fragmented: recruiters were so busy that logging interview notes in the system was consistently the last thing that happened, if it happened at all.

The Solution

Erevena adopted CoRecruit through their existing Ezekia integration. The platform automatically captures interview notes, generates AI summaries in customised formats based on call type, and produces first drafts of candidate and reference reports — ready for quick review and editing rather than being built from scratch.

What previously took 90 minutes now takes around 10. Researchers can focus on research and conversations. Senior partners no longer need to act as a second layer of documentation. The reports that go to clients are faster, cleaner, and produced with far less friction.

Erevena rolled CoRecruit out gradually rather than all at once — a deliberate approach given the team's general resistance to new technology. What happened next surprised even Gemma. People started coming to her asking to be added to the next rollout. She was messaging the CoRecruit team asking to add extra users because demand had outpaced the plan.

For a team that typically stays as far away from new tech as possible, that kind of organic pull-through is rare.
